What types of Security Clearances are there?
There are four primary levels of clearance, scaling with the sensitivity of the information the individual will access. Logi-Tech can sponsor Baseline, NV1 and NV2 Clearances. Positive Vetting is currently transitioning to Top Secret-Privileged Access (TS-PA), which will be managed by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO).

What is the process? How long will my Security Clearance take?
Step 1: Pre-Vetting Assessment
Individuals can submit their Security Pre-clearance application with us. We walk you through every step of the rigorous AGSVA vetting process, making a complex bureaucratic system simple.We run you through an initial screening aligned with Australian Standard AS 4811. Such as checking your ID and a brief online interview with you. We also talk to you about your clearance needs, affirming which security clearance suits your situation or organisation the best. This can happen within a 48-hour timeframe depending on which appointment time you select.
Step 2: Official Sponsorship
When you have finalised your application payment, we will sponsor your clearance, and one of our trusted Security Officers will submit your details to the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). We leverage our accredited DISP (Defence Industry Security Program) Level 3 framework to officially sponsor your, or your employees’ application, placing it into the AGSVA system. Logi-Tech’s sponsorship begins from the date the invoice is issued and is reviewed annually from that date.
Step 3: Guided AGSVA Application
Our vetting team guides you through the data points, references, and background history checks required, ensuring your submission is flawless to avoid lengthy delays. AGSVA will open an account for you in their secure portal, myClearance. You will have access to your account to provide the information they request. AGSVA will ultimately assess your suitability to hold a Security Clearance.
Once this has been set up, AGSVA aims to finalise your security assessment in the following timeframes:
Baseline – 20 business days
Negative Vetting 1 – 70 business days
Negative Vetting 2 – 100 business days.

Once AGSVA grants your Security Clearance, you are officially in the system.
