Newly Australian? Defence is hiring, and you already qualify.
Your citizenship just unlocked one of the country’s biggest employers. Australia’s defence industry is spinning up thousands of new roles across cyber, engineering, project management, admin and trades, and citizenship is the single largest requirement. Logi-Tech sponsors your security clearance under our Defence Industry Security Program (DISP)-accredited sponsorship, so you can walk into interviews cleared and ready.
“My parents were born overseas. My family lives in India / the Philippines / Vietnam. I will be rejected.”
This is the biggest fear we hear. Applicants read the AGSVA forms asking for parents’ names, dates of birth, citizenship, addresses, employment, plus ten years of overseas travel, and they assume it’s a trick to filter them out.
Declared foreign family is managed, not disqualified.
AGSVA Guideline B assesses vulnerability to coercion, not your heritage. Foreign-born family, dual citizenship, and travel to your home country to see relatives are standard on the form and rarely a barrier when declared honestly. See AGSVA guidance.
Skilled. Australian. Underemployed.
You migrated as an engineer. An IT professional. A project manager. A qualified tradesperson. You did the hard part: years of visas, permanent residency, the pledge ceremony. Now you have a passport. But you are stacking supermarket shelves, driving rideshare, doing tier-one IT support, or working well below your qualification. This is common. And it does not have to continue.
Thousands of defence-industry jobs are open across Australia right now. Hundreds require an active security clearance.
Nobody has told you that citizenship (the thing you already have) is the single largest gatekeeping requirement.
What defence pays for the skills you already have
Real, published Australian salary bands. If you have technical qualifications, defence pays market rates or above. If you are entry-level, defence-industry roles are open with citizenship and Year 10.
We sponsor. You get the job.
Logi-Tech is a DISP-accredited sponsor. That means we're accredited by Defence to sponsor Baseline through TOP SECRET clearances on behalf of individuals like you. Before you have a defence-industry job.
Pre-application and ID interview are free. Sponsorship fee (invoiced when you formally proceed) includes your AGSVA vetting fee.
Book a free 15-minute call. If you qualify, we sponsor you and lodge with AGSVA under our DISP accreditation. Sponsorship and AGSVA fees are separate and quoted upfront on the pricing page.
You come to us. We check you're eligible. We lodge your sponsorship. AGSVA runs the vetting. Once you're cleared, we can help place you into a defence-industry role across Australia. And we back that with a 60-day career placement pathway.
For most new citizens, Baseline is the right starting point: it opens up site work, admin, logistics, trades and support roles across the AUKUS program, ASC, BAE, and dozens of tier-2 suppliers across Australia. From there, NV1 opens up cyber, systems and tech roles that pay considerably more.
Locked out
Application after application, rejected before interview. Recruiters won't call back. You look at job ads that all say “must have current clearance” and wonder how anyone gets started.
Sponsored & placed
Baseline clearance in 2 to 6 weeks. Employer conversations start immediately. You walk into interviews holding the thing every other applicant is missing.
The pathway, in four clear steps
You are a citizen
Australian citizenship is the only prerequisite you must already hold. If you have it, you qualify.
We sponsor you
Free 15-minute eligibility check. If you qualify, we lodge your sponsorship with AGSVA under our DISP accreditation. Sponsorship fee from $2,750 (Baseline). AGSVA vetting fee is separate and paid to the Commonwealth.
AGSVA vets you
Standard background check. Identity, financial history, employment, referees, foreign contacts declared. AGSVA processes independently. We notify you as soon as a decision is issued.
You start work
Cleared and free to apply for defence-industry work. For engineering, IT and PM roles the Para Bellum Group placement pathway may apply. Trade roles are hired directly by head contractors and tier-2 suppliers.
Applicants from every background are welcome. Logi-Tech has sponsored candidates born in every part of the world. Defence primes across Australia have public cultural and linguistic diversity commitments. Your background is not a barrier to defence work in Australia. Your Australian citizenship is the qualification.
Talk to Ben directly.
15-minute call, in-person at St Marys or on video. We walk through the pathway in plain English, answer every question, and tell you upfront if you are likely eligible. You do not need to complete a form to start the conversation.
What does it cost you? Sponsorship fees are covered by Logi-Tech (via the Para Bellum placement pathway) or paid transparently with Zip instalments. AGSVA fees are separate and paid to the Commonwealth.

No. AGSVA assesses vulnerability to coercion, not heritage. Declared foreign family is standard and rarely a barrier. What matters is honest declaration on the form.
No. Overseas travel to visit family is normal and expected. Ten years of travel is declared on the form. Frequency of visits to your birth country is not a disqualifier.
Zero relationship. Citizenship is final and permanent. A clearance decision does not affect immigration status. You retain formal review and appeal rights if a decision goes against you.
No. Professional working English is sufficient. We conduct all onboarding in plain English, take our time, and can walk through documents with you step by step.
Yes. Defence primes explicitly value transferable skills and seek civilian technical talent (engineers, IT, project managers, admin, trades). Uniformed service is not a prerequisite.
All disclosed information is legally protected. AGSVA does not share your family details with immigration authorities, foreign governments or public agencies. Information is used solely for vetting.

Questions new citizens ask us.
No. AGSVA doesn't require you to have been a citizen for X years. What they do check carefully is your background from age 16 or 18 onwards. Including any years spent overseas. As long as your history is verifiable and honest, recency of citizenship is not itself a barrier.
Not automatically. AGSVA needs to verify your history. That means residence, employment, education, and any foreign contacts. If you spent time in a country Australia has good information-sharing with, it's usually smooth. If not, it can add time. We'll talk through your specific situation before you spend anything.
Baseline opens up site access, admin, logistics, trades, warehouse, IT support, and a lot of tier-2 supplier work into the AUKUS program. From Baseline you can upgrade to NV1 later, which unlocks higher-paying tech roles.

Government asking for family details feels intrusive. All disclosed information is legally protected. AGSVA does not share your family details with immigration authorities, foreign governments or public agencies. Information is used solely for vetting.
No. That's the whole point. We sponsor you before you have a job. That's what makes us different from most sponsors, who only sponsor once you're already employed by a defence prime.
Yes. Zip payment plan lets you split the sponsorship fee into four. AGSVA fees are still paid separately.
Baseline is typically 2 to 6 weeks of AGSVA processing time after we lodge your ePack. Add another 1 to 2 weeks on our side for the qualification and application prep. So realistically, 3 to 8 weeks door to door.
Your defence career starts with one conversation.
Fifteen minutes on the phone with our team is enough to tell you whether you qualify, what it will cost, and how long it will take. No pressure, no obligation.
